Onboarding

Once a new management or ownership group signs with HSM, they are assigned a dedicated Strategic Account contact who will be their primary contact at the management or ownership level. To start with, we guide them through the onboarding process. This includes educating the group on program options, ensuring properties are linked to HSM’s contracts, and familiarizing the group with HSM’s technology offerings. If there’s a desire to use BirchStreet, HSM’s e-procurement ordering platform, we’ll help them implement the system and provide the training. Whether using BirchStreet or not, we also conduct training to ensure that, at the property level, those who purchase will understand – from drop size incentives to deviated manufacturer pricing – how best to take advantage of HSM’s programs.

After a group has been on-boarded and starts purchasing on our programs, our team stays in regular contact to support the group as their needs and priorities may change over time. From compliance reporting to new program rollouts, we want to ensure our customers have visibility into their participation with HSM, and are kept up-to-date on HSM’s exciting new program offerings. As each group’s needs differ, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach, we listen to our customers and provide solutions specific to their needs.

Technology and Support

We help our customers take advantage of HSM’s technology and property-level support. Whether adding a new hotel to BirchStreet, or using our Customer Portal (HSM’s searchable supplier database), we ensure our customers are educated on how to use our technology. HSM also has layers of property level support, such as the HSMx Service Desk, our dedicated hotline, and our Field Operations Team, HSM’s boots on the ground. As the Strategic Accounts Team supports our management and ownership groups at the above-property level, we leverage our hotel-level resources to ensure our customers have the procurement support that they need at all levels of their operation.
